20 Jun West Africa Data Management Conference – 2017
Maxwell GeoServices (Maxwell) has again held very successful mining and exploration data management conferences and workshops in West Africa in June 2017. These were held in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso and Accra in Ghana between June 5 and June 25. The theme was “Transformational Productivity and Efficiency” with various presentations including Maxwell data management product updates, utilisation of existing Maxwell functionality, West African success stories and laboratory sampling processes.
One of our French speaking consultants, Marco, effectively ran the Burkina Faso training session and Gavin did likewise in Ghana. Feedback from our complementary workshop in each venue as well as basic and advanced training provided to users was very positive and reflected the focused nature of attendees.
Post Conference our consultants were then given the opportunity to work with clients at their various exploration and mining sites and assist them with drilling and sampling data management deployments and optimisation as well as reviewing implementations of our DataShed Production System.
Attendees came from many countries in the region to utilise the opportunity for both advanced data management training and to network with colleagues from other sites and companies.
Maxwell invests heavily in programs and activities in West Africa and the high level of user skill and utilisation is reflective of this.
